The latest idol group brand reputation rankings from the Korean Business Research Institute revealed BLACKPINK, NewJeans, and BTS securing the top three positions this month. These rankings were determined through a comprehensive analysis of consumer engagement, media presence, interaction, and community awareness across various idol groups. The data collection, spanning from November 14 to December 14, offers valuable insights into the public’s perception and the soaring popularity of these renowned groups.

BLACKPINK has stormed to the peak of this month’s charts, marking an outstanding 118.35% increase in their brand reputation index compared to November, amassing a total score of 5,711,207. Key phrases associated with the group in the keyword analysis include “exclusive contract,” “Yang Hyun Suk,” and “YG Entertainment,” while their top-related terms encompass “renew contracts,” “collaborate,” and “soar.” Analyzing the positivity-negativity ratio for BLACKPINK reveals an impressive 93.09% positive reaction score. This remarkable rise stands out, considering the group held the sixth position in last month’s rankings in November.
NewJeans has surged into the second position, boasting a brand reputation index of 4,938,338, marking a remarkable 21.40 percent surge from the previous month. Back in November, they secured the third spot with a brand reputation index of 4,067,932.
BTS achieved the third position this month, boasting a brand reputation index of 4,702,347. Just last month, in November, BTS soared to the top with a brand reputation index of 6,057,076. Additionally, the analysis of positive and negative reactions for BTS revealed an outstanding 92.94% positivity rate in November.
SEVENTEEN clinched the fourth spot, boasting an index of 3,769,086. It’s worth noting that back in November, SEVENTEEN had soared to second place with a brand reputation index of 4,579,540, marking an impressive 26.06% surge in their score from October.
In December’s top five rankings, IVE clinched the fifth spot boasting a brand reputation index of 3,345,070. What’s intriguing is how IVE held onto fourth place in November, maintaining a brand reputation index of 3,890,014.
