Essential Gear to Take Your Winter Adventures to the Next Level

There are two kinds of people in the
world. The first is the sort that likes to curl up at home when the temperature
drops with a warm cup of cocoa or a book. The second sees chilly temps and
snowfall as invitations to enjoy an entirely new set of adventures.
If you’re the second type of person,
then you’ve come to the right place. Travel, adventure, and new experiences are
definitely not just for the summertime. Here we’ll take a closer look at some
of the essentials you’ll need to make sure your
winter adventures are everything you want them to be.

1.
Solid
Outerwear
The right outerwear makes all the
difference in the world between having a fantastic time on cold weather adventures
and spending the entire day shivering uncontrollably. That said, any winter
adventurer needs a good collection of items, like the following:

    Wool
overcoats and weatherproof trench coats that are sturdy enough to protect you
from the cold, but cut stylishly enough to look put together when the adventure
of the day is an impromptu pub crawl, an outdoor festival, or a trip out of
town to hit a special event.

    Quilted
jackets, vests, and leather items from companies known for winter gear that
protect against even the harshest elements. Think brands like Carhartt and The North Face.

    Sportswear
and activewear designed to keep sporty, adventurous people comfortable, no
matter what the weather may bring. It’s perfect for everything from a morning
jog to a red-eye plane ride, to an impromptu shopping spree out of town.

This season’s most exciting outerwear
for women, men, and children was designed to be the best of both worlds. It’s
not just practically built with cold weather in mind. It’s stylish,
comfortable, and fun to wear as well.
2.
Reliable
Footwear
Even if you don’t live somewhere that
sees heavy snowfall or subzero temperatures in the wintertime, the chances are
pretty good that you have an ample rainy season to contend with instead. In
those climates, your choice in footwear is key. Settle for a cheap pair of
boots or a pair of shoes that isn’t seasonally appropriate, and you’ll have
nothing but cold, wet, uncomfortable feet to show for it.

This winter, stock your closet with
sturdy boots and winter footwear that can stand up to any amount of rain,
slush, or snow. Duck boots are a fantastic option, as they’re very much in
fashion now. They’re also more than capable of keeping your feet dry under even
the harshest weather conditions – perfect for hiking, winter beachcombing, or
camping! Fleece-lined snow boots from brands like Sorel, Tommy Hilfiger, and Sperry
are wise choices.

3.
Weather
Resistant Backpack
The word “adventure” can mean different
things to different people. To one person, it’s all about making time for a
great camping or hiking experience no matter what the weather might bring their
way. To another, it’s about piling their family or all of their best friends
into the car and taking a spontaneous road trip to a ski lodge or a mountain
resort. Whichever side of the camp you prefer, you really need a good backpack
you can count on at your disposal.

Choose an all-weather backpack made for
braving the great outdoors so that it’s appropriate for as many uses as
possible. Look for features like an ergonomic fit, padded compartments designed
to protect electronics or other delicate items, and sturdy straps that will
ensure the pack is comfortable to wear no matter where your adventures take
you. It’s the perfect must-have item for everything from serious all-day hiking
to exploring a new city on a whim.

4.
Layer-Friendly
Clothing
Whether you’re a fashion enthusiast or
simply someone who wants to stay as comfortable as possible when the
temperature drops, layers are a winter must. They’re the best way to keep warm
both indoors and outdoors. They’re versatile, as you can always remove a few
items of clothing if the sun comes out unexpectedly.

That said, all winter adventurers need
plenty of clothing that lends itself well to layering. Start with a collection
of close-fitting, thermal knit items for an ideal bottom layer. Add light
sweaters, vests, heavier sweaters, and outerwear. Finish off your look with a
knit all-weather beanie and a cozy woolen scarf, and you’re all set! If you’re
planning on spending time somewhere truly chilly, you might want to consider
adding long underwear to the mix.

5.
 Winter Accessories
Whether you’re dressing with style in
mind or are more focused on practicality, no winter outfit can be considered
complete until it’s properly accessorized. This winter, it’s all about
accessories, like the following, which are equal parts fashionable and capable
of keeping you warm even in the dead of winter.

    Hats
or caps that are capable of keeping your head warm and cozy no matter what your
day sends your way are a winter must. Look for options like cozy knit beanies
for headwear that’s equal parts warm and fun to wear.

    Scarves
are another absolute essential this winter. They’re also among the most
versatile fashion items you can have in your cold weather wardrobe. Wind them
snugly around your neck to protect your throat from the cold during a hike.
Drape them over your shoulders and secure with a belt for a fun day look.

    Gloves
are another staple, especially if you’re planning on spending much time
outdoors. Snag a sturdy pair of all-weather gloves for outdoor activities and a
pair of fashionable knit fingerless gloves for everyday wear.

The better prepared you are to face
adventure head on this winter, the more you’re likely to get out of the entire
experience. Making sure your cold weather wardrobe is complete is only becoming
more important as we make our way into the coldest, bitterest months. Get

7 Trends That Should Stop In 2017

Though
fashion trends come and fade away but some trends stay longer than we could
think of. Few trends that started again are on the rise but some trends that need
to be stopped now. Since it’s the beginning of 2017 so I will be discussing 7
trends in fashion which I personally think needs to be stopped.

1) Highly Distressed Clothing
Yes,
the emphasis is on the word HIGHLY! It’s ok to wear them sometimes in casual
gatherings or but you must admit when you are clothing it seems like it’s
falling apart and few threads are holding it up together. More tears and more
holes means it is going to fall apart.

2) Joggers
Before
you start questioning why joggers? Let me assure you joggers are comfortable
and keeps up with most of your time to walk around with them but joggers are
more appropriate when you go to gym or going for a walk. In Men Dresses,
certain people wear as trousers in their office that doesn’t looks. Joggers are
more appropriate for chinos or trousers but they are not at all relevant as
jeans.

3) Men Buns
Personally
this 2014 style is too old to carry now. Still a lot of men are carrying this
style which is fine but if I may say personally then I don’t find it versatile.
Though this style may have overplayed by celebrities now but there are more
versatile yet classy hair styles that look appropriate than putting up a bun on
your head with formal suit or professional attire on you.

4) Side Zipper Shirts
Zippers
have purpose like on your pants, sweat shirt or even jacket but personally side
zipper shirts for men seems purpose less. These zipper shirts not only look
bad, but looks vague as why on earth were they even invented on the first
place. It may be cool to have it on front but on side it really doesn’t add up.

5) Buying Replicas
A
lot of people out there wear replicas and it has been a problem for many years
but from 2015 people have started wearing fake products more than ever and not
even caring about it. For example, you might like a branded style sneakers but
it may be not reachable to you due to being expensive. Personally, its fine if
you can’t wear everything original but wearing the same thing as replica is not
cool. Might I suggest something is to conveniently look for something
resembling to that and wear it rather than wearing the same thing which you
know is not the same at all!

6) Side Part Cut Hairstyle
This
style has also been popular since 2014 and is still going on. I don’t like this
hair style personally because of 2 main reasons. Number 1 is its too perfect
and clean to be classic. Classic hairstyles have meant to be clean but not at
all perfect because it has some messy look to give a natural hairstyle look to
show it’s a classic hairstyle and side part cut is too perfect and neat that
doesn’t define that old and pure classiness. Number 2 is the maintenance that
comes with this cut, I mean to make it look clean and neat always you must
visit to barber more often than ever. After a week or two you would have to go
again to get the neat look again.

7) Long Line Tees

Finally,
the last trend which has been going on is the long line Tees which I cannot
understand why do they even exist in the first place. Of course, these tees
might be useful for people wearing jeans lower than ever but these tees are
practically very wrong. These tees do not support your body structure and makes
your torso super tall which makes your legs teeny tiny and doesn’t supports the
whole-body structure. These tees can be bearable inside the house only but now
it’s time to say good bye to this trend forever!

How to follow up on Latest Fashion Trends

Many people
take fashion trends lightly, something that doesn’t require a lot of time or
dedication to follow, but any person that is immersed in the world of fashion
will tell you a completely different story. Being in the loop of what is
happening on the fashion scene can easily be a full-time occupation, if you’ve
got the knack and passion for it, but if you’re doing it for your pleasure,
things are simpler.
Following up
on fashion trends is easier than ever thanks to the blessings of internet and
all the knowledge we can acquire on it. If you’re just getting into world of
fashion and you need some guidance, here are some steps that can help you in
your aspiration to be in the loop with latest fashion trends.

Start with Fashion Websites

When in
doubt, consult the internet. Whether you need some inspiration on what to wear
and shop or you want to know what the latest news of the fashion industry is,
there are always some excellent fashion websites to lead your way.

Wonderful
thing about fashion websites is that you don’t have to be a passive beholder
and you can actually learn a lot, not matter how frequent your visits are.
There are many popular sites to choose from, but we always suggest starting
with following online fashion magazines and you can also check out websites of
big brands that usually set fashion trends. But the search doesn’t have to end
there, on the contrary, the universe of online fashion only expands, so you can
explore even further into online shops and don’t forget the fashion apps that
are becoming better with each passing year. A great perk of these websites is
that you can get so much more than just insights into what (not) to wear – many
of them actually give beauty tips, makeup tutorials and perks that are
beneficial for all fashionistas out there.

Fashion Events as a Night out

If you’re
looking for an entrance into the fashion world, then attending fashion events,
runway shows and everything in between is a must. Depending on where you live,
it might sometimes be hard to find inspiring events in your surroundings, but
there are always people eager to show their creativity and talent as long
there’s someone ready to see it. Naturally, if you’re able to go to the big
events that shape the world of fashion, then you should definitely do it, not
just because of everything you’ll see, but also because you can meet some
amazingly creative people.

Who you know in the fashion world can make a lot of
difference and can help you learn even more about changing tides of taste and
style and it all usually starts with these fashion events. Of course, there are
big chances that nothing spectacular will happen, but these happenings are
usually amazing in itself and you can draw inspiration just from being in the
epicenter of it all.

Find and Follow Your Fashion Gurus

Fashion
bloggers are great teachers for everyone that has an unquenched thirst for
everything fashion related and you can see that by their popularity. Many
fashion-savvy girls (and some men) have made a fortune by sharing how they
perceive fashion with the rest of the world. They can teach you what (not) to
wear, which clothes are suitable for what event or part of the day and whatever
else that comes to mind.

Each of those bloggers has their own unique sense of
style, which means that not every one of them will actually suit your needs, so
choose wisely. Also, many of these online fashion influencers will tell you
exactly what they’re wearing and how you can find it by linking where you can
buy them, which makes everything so much easier.

Mind the Way You Shop

We’ve all been in the situation where we’ve got a full wardrobe of
clothes and still nothing to wear and that is not a good situation to be in.
It’s more than recommendable to do a raid of your closet at least once a year.
If you want to follow latest fashion trends, then first of all you need to have
pieces of clothes that go with everything, classics that are suitable for
practically every situation. Everything you haven’t worn in over a year, you
probably never will wear again so you can toss it out or give it to charity.
The truth is that sometimes less is more and you don’t have to go shopping
often to continually make a fashion statement. Go window shopping often, but
buy rarely and mostly pieces you know will go well with much of what you’ve
already got in your closet and you’ll be golden.

Sometimes
following fashion trends might seem prosaic, but once you get into it, you
realize there’s much more than meets the eye. When you really get into the fashion
world, you’ll be able to find your unique ways to keep educating yourself on
the subject, but for now let these little guidelines lead the way and witness
your progress.

Fun Things to Do With Your Zippers

Other than the fashionable uses of zippers, it is possible
for you to find other uses for these items and have fun with the zippers.
Whether you have Heavy Duty Zippers
or the conventional zippers, you can use these items to create a sock puppet
for your kids. You can sew some buttons on the sock puppet as the nose and
eyes. The upturned zipper can be used as a mouth.

You may have bought tent zippers at
www.zippershipper.com and you probably have no use for the extra zippers.
Well, you can use these to create your friendship bracelets. You can sew these
on Velcro pads to each of the ends of the zippers and fasten it.

Did you know that you can create some convertible pants for
your hikes and bike rides? Well, this is possible. All you have to do is just
cut the legs off a pair of pants or jeans. Do this above the knee and reattach
the legs with the zippers. You can zip off the legs when it is warm and zip
them back on the cool days. You can visit www.zippershipper.comfor zippers by the yard
